It Starts with a Conversation

Well done getting this far! Many people want to change their lives but stop short of taking action.

It is completely normal to have doubts and hesitations. It takes some courage to click on the link and say, ‘I have this issue, can you help me?’

This page is all about what happens after you click on the link and what it costs in terms of time and money.

The first thing that will happen is we will have a conversation, usually via the online platform Zoom. This gives you the chance to see if I’m right for you, and me the chance to see if I will be able to help you.

I’m part of a network with a few other superb RTT therapists and it may be I would suggest you work with someone specialising in your area of concern. Conversely, you may feel I’m not right for you, or that you would rather work with a woman. That’s absolutely fine.

If you decide you would like to proceed, your next decision is whether to work face to face or via Zoom. If the former, you will need to come to my home near Milverton,  Somerset for the session.

If its practical, I’d say that’s best; however sessions also work brilliantly on Zoom, it saves on travel time and costs and some people feel safer doing sessions in the comfort and privacy of theur own home.

In short, both are excellent.

Shared Responsibility for Success

I would like to offer a money back guarantee that each session will lead to significant postive change.

The reason it would be wrong to do this is that it would take away your responsibility for making it work. Most importantly, the commitment to listen to the recording made in the session for a minimum of 21 days.

Research shows it usually takes between 10 days and three weeks permanently to change an embedded habit or belief. Part of you will be attached to the old way, no matter how miserable it made you, it could still be a kind of comfort zone.

Repeated listening to the recording embeds the new learning until the new beliefs that were once unfamiliar become familiar and then an integral part of your life.

In the very unlikely event that you did listen to the recording as agreed for 21 days and you were convinced that nothing had changed, I would want to review what happened with you and then either offer a free repeat session or refer you on to a trusted colleague to whom I would pass on my fee.

I will only take you on if I believe I can help you. I will never be happy with anything less than a 100% success rate and it is important to me that you are delighted with the changes you are able to make.

What is it worth to you?

The NHS tells us that every missed appointment costs them £160. Many counsellors charge £50 per hour and expect to need a good 10 sessions to tackle a significant issue: other psychotherapists expect a course of treatment to last years.

If you are seeking a sympathetic listener to visit week after week and help relieve the pressure from a stressful life or work situation there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But please note that I’m not your man!

I only like to work with significant issues. If you had to put a financial price on them, they would run into hundreds or thousands of pounds. Consider what is the true cost of

  • The serious health problems and dying 10-20 years early from being excessively overweight?
  • The cost of a family breaking up through one person’s addictive behaviours?
  • The cost of days or weeks of work missed through depression or anxiety?
  • A daily 20 cigarette habit over one year…. 10 years?
  • A lifetime on a low salary through lacking the confidence to assert your true worth and be paid accordingly?
  • Facing death regretting a life in which you never discovered or followed your true heart’s desire?

Although the issue is hidden by having a nationalised health service, we use the price of something as a reflection of its value.  An issue that is not seen as costing at least several hundred pounds is not by definition a very significant one.

Because of its intensity, I only do one full RTT session per day. It is important to me to be fully alert and at my best. The price of the sessions I offer is a reflection of the training, skill and commitment involved.

Ask and You Shall Receive

I am aware that for some people these prices may seem high, but I hope I have explained why they represent very good value.  What matters is not the time it takes but the impact it has.

If you are serious about making changes in your life but the above prices are impossible for you, please do the following. Consider what making the changes would be worth to you, and then consider what you can afford. Consider too if there is anything else you can offer that could be of value to me, eg you may be in a position to refer me to many others, or you could pay in kind, eg in firewood, food or pottery. If you have read this far it is for a reason and I will do what I can to meet you halfway. Use the contact form below to get in touch.

I give the same quality of service whatever is being paid: it is my choice to offer a limited number of sessions at a reduced rate. This does not in any way diminish the value of what I offer and I fully support and respect other RTT therapists who do not offer a reduced rate. In effect those paying the standard rate make it possible for me to help others in different circumstances.

If not now, when?

If something is not right in your life, do take action. If you decide to go with another therapist or coach that’s great, well done for taking the plunge. If you decide instead to read a self help book, attend an online class or talk to a friend, that’s also good, you can always re-evaluate in three months’ time.

If on the other hand your gut is telling you to get in touch, then please do so. Either fill in the form below or text or Whatsapp me on +447787 554259.

I look forward to meeting you!

Testimonials

Pain Relief and Positivity

I immediately began to feel more positive, forward looking & almost excited at how I felt. I now sleep well, & on the whole, life has become more rounded. My attitude to life & its problems is more positive too.
A number of my friends have commented on how well I look despite having recently had an operation for bowel cancer.
I found the experience amazingly positive, uplifting & life changing. I did not realise how much my early years influenced my adult life. The tape I was given is played every evening which keeps me grounded.

Binge eating

"I felt immediately that I was I safe hands  from the session’s start.Throughout the intake Peter was listening very carefully and asking good questions until my intention and wishes for the session were very clear.

My biggest issue was binging on food – eating too much, being an ’emotional eater’.

Peter managed in hypnosis to take me back to situations and scenes from my childhood and youth that I was able to link directly to my emotional eating of today.

That was just splendid! Suddently I understood why and what caused me to eat emotionally and now after the therapy, I feel like I have divided the problem into two issues – an issue with my emotions and an issue with my eating, and now for me to handle separately, and that is the true gift of  RTT-therapy to facilitate a fundamental understanding that is the basis of a changing a behaviour you want to change for the better, and this needs  a skilled RTT-therapist, and I will definitely recommend Peter.

(update after 4 months): I’m not binging at all anymore! I actually find it quite unnatural to binge now with no “substitute effect” and therefore no emotional reason for doing it. I eat healthy food because I want to but have no trouble to stop naturally.  I feel really good about that and I do exercises every morning! "

Anxiety

I have felt more positive about the future and my time at university, I came in slightly terrified to return and now I am ready to go, see what happens, without pressure of success or failure. I know I can do this to my ability and then after have the FREEDOM to try new and amazing things with my life.

I would definitely recommend this as a treatment as it is interesting to unlock parts of your unconscious you may have not dealt with and I recommend Peter because he is kind, and takes the time to understand what you want to achieve and why you’re there. It is a very safe environment and I felt I could say what I really wanted and not worry about being judged or questioned.

Phobia and Unsettled Dreams

When I acknowledged I had developed a phobia of driving over bridges, I realised I needed to embrace some remedial therapy. Whilst a fear of falling may be common, ‘driving off a bridge’, or ‘freezing in the middle lane of a motorway bridge’  seriously impact one’s available travel options. When I learnt of Peter’s Hypnotherapy approach, with a single intense session, I felt it was worth engaging with the process, to overcome this phobia.
Under hypnosis, an infant trauma of a near drowning experience in the sea, was identified, and explored, with two reinforcing traumas of a similar intensity and nature (involving water). Peter then gave me a fresh coherent ‘narration’ to these traumas, which I am now attempting to embrace, as I travel to visit friends.
In preparation for our session I was asked to complete a form to identify issues that I recognised in myself, and we agreed to focus on the phobia mentioned above, however, one of the other issues I had mentioned was my ‘Stressful Dreaming”. In the week since my session with Peter, I have experienced what I would describe as ‘Peaceful Dreaming’, and attribute this to the session I had with Peter, and the therapy he offered extending beyond the initially identified symptom, for which I am genuinely grateful.
Thanks Peter.

Extraordinary and life changing

Initially I was really skeptical about hypnosis because my only experience of it was going to these weird shows where people were apparently being knocked out and made to do stupid things and I wasn’t going to do that!

Also, I wasn’t sure if I could be hypnotised, I’m a do-er, not a be-er, what I was really surprised by - absolutely stunned by … was that I was able to go into a state of calm (I wasn’t asleep or knocked out) and I was able to process things as Peter guided me without all of the extra noise...

I was in this place of calm…I decided I was just going to trust the session ..I really wanted to sort some things that I hadn’t been able to sort before

Some memories came up that were quite troubling - things I might have known but were deeply buried - but I was still feeling very calm, I just decided to trust it, Peter was talking me through what to do… looking back it was extraordinary, and actually life changing, and among other things I now have a completely different relationship to some one very significant yet with whom I’d had a really difficult relationship..

The next time I spent time with this person… I realised that something had changed in me, I was less susceptible to feeling hurt.. We had a really good time together… something had really shifted…I was extremely surprised as I had been trying to change things as long as I can remember!
